ABOUT
Denise Gater is an honours graduate of The International Academy of Design and the George Brown College Commercial Art Program. She started her design career in the fashion industry, where she utilized her strong sense of colour and pattern to design fabrics and garments. She has extensive knowledge of textiles, which serves her clients well.
Denise moved to Interior Design at a Toronto furniture company, where she provided consultations to clients. A solid understanding of furniture construction and sources are valuable tools that she uses when selecting or assessing furnishings. Denise also enjoyed teaching Colour Theory and Elements of Design at the International Academy of Design.
As owner of Your Space, Denise offers a fresh, imaginative approach to interior design. She loves to create a comfortable space that not only reflects her clients’ style but also works with their lifestyle.
Denise has recently appeared on CHEX TV as a regular guest designer on “A Design Moment”. She is proud to be a member of The Women’s Business Network of Peterborough.
